The Planning and Organization Committee is one of four main work groups of The Village People volunteers. This group's mission is to create interest and participation by the public and private sector, and be a resource to the Village Government, in long-range downtown and community planning for future growth and historic preservation. Research and education are essential in becoming more informed on issues important to this process.

Along with becoming more informed, our goals include building a positive relationship with the Village Board and the Village Planning Commission. This relationship would be for us, as interested citizens, a way to pass along relevant information learned through continuing education of the public and ourselves. We hope to be a resource to Village Government as well as the citizens of the village as West Salem looks ahead to a bright future
